1. When are the races of the TRI-Factor Series 2014?

2. Where are the race venues?

3. How many race and age categories are there?

5. Do I have to qualify for the event?

For safety reasons, qualification is necessary to ensure that participants who has no open water swimming experience. Do look out for more details regarding the trials for Tri-Factor Swim and Tri-Factor Triathlon.

6. Can I be exempted from the trials?

Participants who wish to be exempted from the trials must present supporting documents to prove that they have completed races of similar distance within the last 3 years. Please present the original or photocopied document/s during race pack collection.

7. Can I accompany my child who is participating in the race?

Junior participants are encouraged to race with minimal or no support. Therefore, parents/guardians who wish to accompany their child/ward must be registered as participants for the respective races that their child/ward is taking part in.

8. Where can I leave my belongings?

Baggages service is available at each event for $1. Participant can purchase the baggage tag, which is to be presented at the baggage counter on event day, during race pack collection. Participants are advised to carry only the essentials to the race to minimize the inconvenience of queuing up at the baggage deposit area to check in/retrieve their belongings.

9. Will the event still carry on in the event of inclement weather?

In the event of inclement weather on race days, the Organisers reserve the right to delay the commencement of the races or alter the route. Do refer to the official facebook page for timely update.

10. Will there be distance markers along the route?

There will be distance markers at regular intervals to provide participants an indication of the distance they have covered in the race.

11. Will there be road marshals stationed along the route to guide me?

There will be marshals and other signage placed throughout the route to provide lookouts as well as to direct participants to the right track. All Participants are advised to familiarise themselves with the route prior to the start of the race. Refer to the respective event page for any updates of race route.

12. What if I am injured during the race or otherwise unable to finish the race?

Event Medical Staff will be on-site to render First Aid Assistance throughout each race. For any serious injuries, emergency ambulances are on standby to provide evacuation to the nearest hospital for treatment.

13. Am I required to attend any briefings before participating in the event?

No. All information can be found in the race booklet in the race pack. You are advise to familiarise yourself with the event details including the route and safety arrangement.

14. How are the results compiled?

The competition times of participants will be tracked using transponder timing. Results will be compiled according to the timing device provided.

15. When will the results be ready?

Results will be published online within 48 – 72hrs after each race unless otherwise stated.

16. Can I bring along my pets?

No. Pets are strictly not allowed on race routes.
