- Q: Is Meet Your Match a competitive race event?
A: Meet Your Match Relay is a non-competitive event. However, each participant will still be timed for his/her race leg. For each leg of the triathlon, the best timing among all team members will be taken. The total score of the team is the sum of best timing for each leg.
- Q: Who will I be matched with?
A: Team members are matched according to work and/or residential locations, lifestyle preferences and fitness levels.
Each team comprises at least one runner, one swimmer and one cyclist.
Each team may also have any combination of number of runners to swimmers and cyclists. For example, Team 1 comprises 3 runners, 2 swimmers & 1 cyclist, while Team 2 comprises 6 runners, 2 swimmers & 2 cyclists.
Most teams will be formed as mixed relay teams, with at least one female or at least one male team member.
- Q: When will I get to know my matched sports buddies?
A: Matching of team mates will be completed one month before the event. Team mates will be notified and linked up with one another via email at least two weeks prior to the event.
- Q: How will I meet my newly matched sports buddies?
A: Your email address will be disclosed to your team mates to facilitate get-togethers and info sharing.
- Q: Who will my team be competing against?
A: Your team will be competing against other Meet Your Match relay teams.
- Q: What if I want to join Meet Your Match with another friend? Can we be grouped in the same team?
A: Yes, you may sign up for Meet Your Match with your friends. Please make a remark on your registration form to let us know who you would like to be grouped with.
- Q: I am ready to Meet My Match! How can I sign up?
A: Simply click on the Register Now button on the left panel on this website and complete the registration form. Remember to select the Meet Your Match option on the registration page.
